Day 3 in Orlando

Animal Kingdom

Looking the part

This was the only day Andi wore his hat and was glad that he did because he looked better than Indiana Jones in it.

Stunning views

The park was full of fantasticly themed views from around the world.

As with Hollywood Studios, there was so much to cram in that we spent the day just absorbing it rather than taking too many photos.

Choo-choo!

Andi hates trains for any time when you have to get somewhere on time but loves them for more "recreational" purposes, like a mini train to an animal sanctuary.

Pandora

Avatar was probably one of the worst films ever says Andi. "It's basically Pocohontas with blue aliens" is his one-line review.

The Pandora area of the park was absolutely breathtaking though.

Andi is still not looking forward to Avatar 2, 3 or 4.

"That" storm

After one of the rides, we got stuck in the exit cave where a load of people didn't want to go outside.

We heard from the back that it was raining terribly and after a short while water started flooding the cave, quickly amounting to a few inches around our feet.

We pushed through a crowd of people who were reluctant to get wet to face the absolute worst tropical rain storm either of us had ever seen.

Soaked

Being British we were not perturbed by a bit of rain; we were just glad that it was also nice and hot!

We walked past huge numbers of people cowering in shops and resturants and shared a kiss in the rain whilst being cheered on by dry onlookers.

Rae's memory

[coming soon]"?"

Andi's memory

"Time stopped for me when I stood in the middle of a park, kissing my wife in the pouring rain in front of dozens of people too scared to step out and get wet - definitely a bucket list item checked off!"
